Can't insert Excel file to template

I would like to create a confluence template with Excel file attached.

But even if I try to insert a excel file, I can't achieve it.

Can somebody give me a good advice to me?

Steps I tried:

  1. Save a certain Confluence page with Excel file attached.

  2. Create template from "Content Tools" tab in "Space Settings" of Confluence.

  3. Press [+] button -> Select "View more" -> Select "Office Excel" macro.

  4. Specify the page prepared in step 1 in "Page Name" box and choose the intended Excel file in "File Name" box.

Result:

  Although "Save" button becomes valid, nothing happens even if I press the "Save" button.

Is this caused by same reason as issue CONFCLOUD-66471 ?

Are there any workaround so far?

Any advice would be very appreciated!

I was able to recreate the same issue and not able to attach an excel file to a template in Confluence cloud.  I think the issue you referenced is a separate issue.  I was not able to find anything in the documentation stating that this could not be done.  I would suggest submitting a support issue to Atlassian.
