In the "+" menu in the editor there is an option for this. See the below screenshots.

Thanks @Davin Studer It works well, except for the codeblocks. In github, i used to keep it in ``` , is there any hack for that ?

Another option would be the Markdown Macro for Confluence. I tried it out and it seemed to handle code blocks. It's a free app.

This is not working now. The first time the macro runs, it converts from Confluence Markup, no matter what is selected. It used to be OK on the second run, but now the macro won't load again until I reboot my Mac. Verified in Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

This doesn't seem to be available now.

@Yorgos Katsaros you should try our app: Markdown Extensions for Confluence. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions.

Thanks, Gabriela, I know there are 3rd party solutions.

I just wanted to point out that there isn't a working built-in solution yet.

At least, I've not found one.

My team developed a plugin that can help you, check out Markdown Extensions for Confluence.

Here's a list of what it supports:

  • Import markdown from Github, Bitbucket, Gitlab, and generic URLs
  • Edit and preview markdown inline
  • Support for HTML within markdown
  • Offers extended markdown formatting
