This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Setting Up Public Access
We want to add downloads to a public FAQ. The download link works when signed in, but not when logged out. In space permissions there is not an a "download attachment" permission to be granted for anonymous users. What is the expected behaviour?
Hi mark, I've just tested and if the Anonymous user has the Can Use permission in the Global Permissions page, he will be able to download the attachment. You can also post the attachment's link the page's body.
Thanks for the help Guilherme - you are correct.
Our problem was that the page was created in a space that did not have public access, and then moved to the public section. It seems that the attachments retain the original permissions. Once we deleted and readded the attachment with the page in the public area, anonymous users were able to download.
Thanks,
Martin
