One of our customers is looking for a solution to use Sharepoint with Confluence. They want to be able to edit the documents in Sharepoint format but then use them in Confluence, including approvals using Comala addons.
I'm looking for experiences with the different available addons and specific solutions for the requirements above, no generic sales pitches please.
Thanks for posting.
I think there are connectors available in Market Place like this one - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218247/sharepoint-connector-for-confluence?tab=overview&hosting=cloud, could you please try and share your thoughts? This app is part of marketplace bug bounty program and completed security self assessment.
Please note - I am not working as marketplace partner ad this response is just based on your query.
Personally, I think they need to rethink thier strategy, and just move the content stored as files to Confluence as much as possible to take advantage of all the tools. It seems they are trying to use Confluence to get around shortcomings in SharePoint?
What kind of files are the storing now in SharePoint that they want to manipulate with Confluence?
Then I would just move all of the content into Confluence pages (there is an import function). Then you have a collaborative platform and workflows. And everyone is always looking at the latest version. Plus all they need is an internet connection and web browser.
