Hi @Ralf Thmas

There may be some other issue here. Try checking the Confluence logs the same time that you click the backup button. Do you see any errors or warnings in the logs? If so, please put this here.

Good morning @Ralf Thmas ,

If you didn't change the standard settings (Linux) it is at

Logs

/var/atlassian/application-data/confluence/logs/atlassian-confluence.log

Backup

/var/atlassian/application-data/confluence/export

Also please try it without attachment, depending on the size of the attachment it could fail because of it.

Hello Ralf,

thank you for the screenshot.

  • Did you try a backup without attachments?
  • What is the path to the export folder in Backup Administration. Maybe you have a different path than the one I expected and Confluence has not the correct permissions to write into it (but seems not likely because I can't see something like it in the logs).
  • Did you check "Also save a copy to the Backups directory".

Are the any "mismatches" with apps or scripts? All my recomendation are a wild guess. Maybe someone else has some better ideas.

Please compare your approach with the documentation.

I would also start "simple" with a Site Backup to see if this is possible.

Let me know if this helps.

Cheers,

Lars
