Authoring space and published space

Paul Hawkins October 16, 2020

Is it possible to set up one space for drafting and editing pages and publish the final versions to a mirror space with the same content and structure? In the same cluster.

Hi Paul,

As @James Dellow explained, this is not a native capability of Confluence. Fortunately, the Atlassian Marketplace offers a fantastic range of add-ons to customise Confluence to meet your requirements. One option you may want to consider is Comala Publishing. If you are on Confluence Server or Data Center you can see the app summary and download a free 30-day trial from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/143/comala-publishing?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview

If you are on Confluence Cloud please do get in contact with us at https://support.comalatech.com as we are currently working on a version of Comala Publishing for Cloud.

Let me know if you have any questions

No, this isn't possible out of the box if you are expecting an automated publishing process that overwrites one page with the contents of another.

There might be some options in the marketplace to help with this or to achieve a similar outcome.
