Anonymous space permissions not editable

Has anyone come across an issue where it is not possible to edit anonymous permissions in a space? When editing permissions, the checkboxes are greyed out. There are no problems with enabling anonymous permissions in global permissions. The problem as a whole is on the instance, in any space. There are no errors in the logs.

Hi @Anton

Can you confirm if your administrator have turned on the global permission for anonymous access? If yes, then the space admins should be able to edit the permissions on space by space basis.
If possible please share a screenshot from   > General Configuration > Global permissions.

I am a system administrator, I have several confluence systems in my administration, nowhere does this problem arise. This does not depend on global permissions in any way and anonymous access can be changed on the space in any case, just when globally anonymous access is not allowed, then an informational message appears about this. In this case, global permissions are enabled, but there is no ability to select checkboxes. You can click "select all" but nothing happens after saving.

You are right, even if the global permission is disabled, space admins can still edit permissions for anonymous access. I have not come across such case in the past which you are describing, but since this is working on your other instances, you can check if there are any plugin differences between the working/non-working and try to disable the plugins to see if that helps in anyway to make sure if they are not causing any issue. Secondly, if you enable the setting in global permissions, are you able to edit permissions under Anonymous Access ?

With any setting of anonymous access in global permissions, it is not possible to edit permissions in any space.

Yes, and made a copy, removed all plugins, updated to the latest version, the situation has not changed.

Thanks for confirming, this is an unexpected behavior, and I would recommend submitting a support ticket to Atlassian Support (if not done already) who can help troubleshoot it for your instance.

Yes, this seems to be the only way to solve the problem. Thanks to all.

My guess is that either

You are on the Free version of Confluence, which does not allow you to change these settings (upgrade to paid, and you'll be able to)

You have enabled "public links", which is exclusive with anonymous permissions.  If you turn that off, you'll be able to set anonymous permissions.

This is server version it can not be free. What you mean "public links" or this about cloud version?

Ah, sorry, I was just looking at a Cloud system, and didn't pay enough attention to the tags.  Please follow up on @Kishan Sharma 's answer, that's where you need to be looking.

Anonymous permissions at a space level will be disabled if the global permission for it is disabled.

This is in the sense of functionality, but regardless of whether global anonymous access is enabled or not, anonymous permissions can be changed in any space. In this case, regardless of whether the global anonymous permission is enabled or disabled, when editing permissions in space, the checkboxes are not clickable when editing. There is no such behavior on other instances, so I want to consult with this someone faced or not?
