Situation: User has a page open for editting, forgets this is open and leaves for home or vacation

Page is locked for edit by other users until the first person saves or cancels the edit

Question: Is there a way to set a timeout, say 1 hour on a page open for edit. If not saved within 1 hour it cancels changes and logs user off the system?

thanks in advance

Hi Jim,

I'm afraid there isn't a way, but if you're a Confluence Administrator you can probably login to this user's account (by changing his/her password) and cancelling the edition. Or you can pretty much save the page and overwrite the changes made by this user.

Cheers!
