502 Proxy Error When Setting Up Confluence

WanderingKazuma February 24, 2013

I keep getting a 502 Proxy error when trying to set up confluence.

This is after the server side executing the bin. I'm getting to .com/setup/setuppaths.action and then it gives me the following error page marked as a 502 Proxy error.

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

The proxy server could not handle the request GET /setup/setuppaths.action.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Jason,

It seems that your whole company, or network is backed by a Proxy Server, which directs and redirect all the traffic that occurs in it.

In order to see Confluence page you may need to setup certain configurations:

If you are still struggling with it you can ask your Network Administrators to set a rule, or help you with the required config, as they have set the proxy themselves.

Hope this helps,

Guilherme
