Confluence cloud and the include (page / excerpt) macro

Graham Reedman

So we have just moved from Confluence Server to Confluence Cloud.

In Confluence Server I made heavy use of an Include Library to ensure consistency across our Confluence instance. the (Excerpt) Include (Page) macro did a great job of dropping included content in line wherever it was inserted.

In Confluence Cloud I'm finding that regardless of whether I use Except Include or Include Page the content from the reference page is being inserted on a new line. I just can't get it to insert inline.

Am I missing a trick? Has Confluence Cloud gone backward in respect of the power of the Include macro?
