The New and Improved Confluence Mobile App!

Hey Community!

I’m Stephanie Zhang, a Product Manager along with @Wei Heng on the Confluence mobile app. Our team has been hard at work to deliver helpful enhancements to the Confluence Cloud Mobile App based on your feedback. We’ve highlighted a handful of the newest stuff here, but there are even more tools in the app so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think!

New login & account settings

Sign in, however you want

  • Single Sign On / OAuth

  • Sign in with Apple

Log in quicker (and easier) through your preferred authentication & authorization tools. We added more options. You’re one tap away from signing in to your Confluence account! And you can stay signed in across multiple Atlassian mobile apps and the web browser on your phone!

Easily switch between your sites or Atlassian apps

It’s super easy to switch between your sites and transition to other Atlassian apps like Jira and Trello.

"Account" is your new control center

The account settings page received a facelift! It’s now located in the top left and has more options than before for customization.

Did you know you can customize which push notifications you get on your phone? You can send all activity, only stuff relevant to you, or something totally custom like only tasks but not comments.

Collaboration on the fly

Comments…with all the emojis!

We’re excited to announce that media, custom emojis, tables and panels are available in comments - say farewell to blue stars in place of emojis! Check out this before and after!

Share with less finger taps

It now takes half the mobile “clicks” to share a page. Just tap the “meatball” menu and then tap Share. Easy.

Find the info you need

More personalized Activity Feed

We’ve updated the look and feel of the iOS Activity Feed to improve scan-ability and space filtering so you can better be in touch with what’s going on with your team.

Now, you can tune your activity feed to your preferred space and receive tailored updates. We’ve got a bunch of other enhancements planned for this area, so stay tuned for more updates!

Know where you’re creating a page, while you’re editing

When you’re editing or creating a page, you can now permanently see which space your page lives in through the meatball menu.

Create beautiful pages with ease

Quickly access permissions

The permissions icon is now at the top of the page while you’re editing to keep your sharing access top of mind and quick to change.

Publish without notifying watchers

Not every change warrants the notifications surrounding an official publish - feel more comfortable publishing smaller changes from your mobile device by publishing without actually notifying your watchers.

We hope these improvements to the mobile app make it more enjoyable and easier to keep your work in hands your hands. We also have a few exciting things coming soon including Dark Mode (Beta) and Inline Comments! We’re looking for users to test and provide feedback, so please comment on this post if you’re interested in chatting!

I am using the Confluence Server App, so not sure there is a gap in features between the cloud app and the server app (there for sure is a difference in user rating, for the benefit of the cloud version).
Are there any plans for the app to easy access content on a mobile device?
E.g. for adding photo, when creating documentation away from your desk. As one say, a picture says more than thousand words, and not being able to do this feels like missing the point with a mobile app.

I’d be interested in access to the beta app.

Hi @Stefan Elmsted Jensen

These enhancements are for the Confluence Cloud app only. On the Confluence Cloud mobile app, it's possible to add a photo both within the editor and also within the editor of page comments.

Great to hear it @Chris Thompson ! Please email me at szhang5@atlassian.com and I can set you up with instructions on testing out Dark mode and Inline Comments.

I am the use of the Confluence Server App, so no longer sure there's a gap in capabilities among the cloud app and the server app (there for sure is a difference in person rating, for the advantage of the cloud version).
Are there any plans for the app to clean get entry to content material on a cellular tool?
E.G. For adding photograph, when growing documentation far from your table. As one say, a image says extra than thousand words, and no longer being able to do this appears like lacking the point with a cellular app.
