I like the fact that I can now publish pages and based on a component on the page set page restriction, so that I don't have to set the manually each time.
Thank you. So many possibilities, these are great functionalities... Sadly there's still no Automation for Confluence user and you need to use specific user as an actor of the rule, which is always so confussing for the people.
We have been using confluence automations to create confluence pages for incidents that are generated inside of Jira. This has been helpful with documenting the updates, resolutions, and post-mortem of each incident.
Learned some practical ways to set up automations for recurring tasks, like creating weekly meeting notes pages and sending out notifications, without needing any coding. Great insights on how automation can help reclaim time for more meaningful work!
I’ve been manually creating follow-up emails to share meeting notes after every session, and it’s clear that this is a perfect opportunity to leverage automation in Confluence. The idea of setting up a workflow that automatically generates and distributes meeting summaries saves time.
I’m especially excited to explore how Automations in Confluence can be tailored to suit our team’s needs—whether it’s linking meeting notes to relevant pages, tagging stakeholders automatically, or sending scheduled updates. This session with @Matt ReinerK15t is a great chance to learn practical tips and best practices that can help us explore how we manage and share information.

Great insights on automation! The practical examples and clear explanations truly highlight the power of simplifying workflows.
Learned to set up triggers like page creation or status changes to automate actions such as notifications, adding labels, or creating tasks. This approach enhances content review, approvals, and integration of Confluence with Jira for seamless collaboration.
Just finished watching the live session with @Matt ReinerK15t, and it was fantastic! I’m really excited about using automations to streamline our team’s workflow in Confluence. One automation I’m eager to try is automatically creating tasks when specific labels are added to pages, so our team never misses important action items. I also learned how powerful conditional rules can be for tailoring workflows to our specific needs. Looking forward to diving deeper into this and saving time on manual processes. Thanks for the great session!
This session was really inspiring and gave me great ideas for using automations in Confluence.
Use Case: Automating task assignments. For example, when a new task is created on a page, automation can assign it to the appropriate team member based on their role or workload.

The livestream was incredibly insightful and sparked so many ideas for using Confluence automation! It highlighted practical ways to save time, like automating meeting notes, archiving inactive pages, and notifying page owners about updates. Thanks for such a great session.
I use Confluence Automation to create and link Jira issues to a specific type of page in confluence. In my scenario, I group requirements together into a Milestone using labels. When I create the Milestone page in Confluence, it automatically creates the Milestone issue in Jira and links the requirements to it. This allows me to group requirements together into deliverable milestones and add/remove requirements via labels in Confluence. I track the Milestone in Jira Advanced Roadmaps as 1 level higher in issue hierarchy to Epics, this allows me to independently define, track, and plan any type of deliverable (milestone) I want and use Confluence to adjust scope without having to muck with Jira so much.

For me the benefits are associated with me being more self-sufficient. The ability to quickly brainstorm on producing new content, finding references and supporting material quickly is immeasurable. I don't need to reach out to many people to assist me. And let's not forget writing improvement features!
