Hi,
When I create a Card layout, Confluence does a weird resizing of the cover images - see my screenshots below.
In the Table layout (image is OK):
The Card layout (image is not OK - I expected to see the full 'Jira Software' logo):
Hey @Anne-Sophie G , I checked in with our team. Right now the aspect ratio of entry cover images is fixed to 3:2. When images don't fit this aspect ratio, they are scaled up and cropped to fill the image.
We understand the scaling isn't always helpful (your case in point.) We're going to add to this our longer term roadmap to ensure that images are displayed suitably.

Hi @Divya Sriram,
I get that cropping images to specific ratios might be helpful for displaying things like logos or team photos. But honestly, in a lot of cases, users are using the database feature as a place to store work-related items, like product requirements or design lists. Compared to Jira, Confluence makes it a lot easier to create simple databases, which is great.
That said, the forced image cropping can be pretty frustrating in these situations because we usually want to store and view full images. Sometimes, we even need to store multiple images in a single field. In our company, it was enough of an issue that the team decided to stick with our old methods rather than switch to using the Confluence database. If you could give users more options, I think it would make a big difference in how much people use the database feature.
Thanks for all your hard work, and we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Thanks for sharing, bringing this back to the team to see what's going on!
