Why is my create page from template not working?

I have a link for creating a child page from template on one of my parent pages. It have worked fine untill recently. Now when I click the link the template is blank but still works when opening it in a new tab or window.

Why is my template blank? Why is it not opening my template normally?

There are many causes to your problem. Let's investigate first.

You should edit your template to see if he's empty.

Clic ont the wheel cogwheel on the bottom left of Confluence, then "Content tools".
On this screen, clic ont the "Edit" link of the template.
Is he blank ?

As I said, it works fine when opening in a new tab or window. So the answer to your question is no, the template is not blank. It just wont work in the current window even since the new UI update.

@Joakim Jonsson have you ever found a way around this?  We just moved from Server to Cloud and are now having the same issue.  Unfortunately, the macro for this doesn't have an option to select a different parent page.
