Why can't i create a label like #example?

Marco Bohmbach February 21, 2020

Hi,

I want to create some labels in a space with a prefix. The prefix, in this case, should be '#'. Everytime I trie to create a label like '#example' I get a 500 from graphSQL.

I thought about escaping, when it's an sql error but '\#example' is not working.

Can someone help me to understand, why it's not working?

Hello @Marco Bohmbach ! I can see how useful using specific characters in labels can be. However, we are unable to create labels using special characters. This feature has been filed and reported for the Cloud Platform here, under CONFCLOUD-6008:

Here you can check the same request, but for the Server Platform:

I have also filed a request to update the documentation for both Cloud and Server:

I would love to understand a little bit more about your use case! How useful and what is the need behind special characters in labels, for your organization?

Let me hear from you, Marcos! Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @Diego ,

we would like to use a special character for the labels of a space so that all labels available for the space are displayed in the proposal list.

Unfortunately there is another problem. The proposal list is not scrollable.
