Need some help with diaplying the current date in footer

Karthik Mohan August 23, 2018

I have defined a PDF stylesheet for a space i would like to include the current date in the footer whenever i print the page. I used the @bottom-left { to define the footer. Is there a function to print date in the footer.

Hi Karthik,

By default, Confluence doesn't have this option, but it can be done through macros.

Steven posted this answer in 2014 at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Insert-current-date-into-Confluence-page/qaq-p/313517 you can try, but be aware it may no longer work.

There are also other topics about "displaying the current date" in the below questions:

In the third post, @Matthew J. Horn wrote:

You can use the dateFormatter's formatGivenString() method to specify a format:

$action.dateFormatter.formatGivenString("dd-MMM-yyyy", $some_date)

Hope this helps!
