Community answers and posts are not visible

Good day fellow community

I just realized that my answers to posts disappeared on page reload.

Could anybody assist me or redirect me to the appropriate support channel?

Thanks,
Igor Medeiros

Do your posts appear in your profile?

If they do, then you'll find they have been moved to "removed", which I think only moderators can do (I think non-mods can move posts to other publicly visible areas, but I've always had lower-level mod privileges, so "move" has always appeared for me)

If they are totally gone, then either a moderator has deleted them, or they have been flagged as spam by a moderator or a robot.   (Moderators rarely delete immediately, we tend to move it to removed or spam filter it, and get a second opinion on whether it should be removed.  Spam is auto-deleted after spending a month in there)

The spam robots tend to pick up on

  • Real junk posts ("ashdaf" type stuff, or verbatim reposts of existing posts), but they can be a bit over-zealous when a post contains logs or code
  • Rapid posts - robots posting faster than a human could type the answers
  • Repeated posts of similar or identical things on many conversations
  • Posts with links to non-Atlassian sites
  • Posts that break the rules include
    • Offensive or derogatory language, or personal attacks (rule summary is "be polite" and "be nice")
    • Necroposts
    • Adverts for apps that do not answer the question with much more than "hey, use our app" (bonus points if it does not link to the app entry in the Atlassian marketplace)
    • Generative AI or large language model AI posts (these are considered spam because they're almost all wrong and don't answer the question or contribute anything useful.

Could your posts be matching any of these?

Hi Nick,

I use to offer our apps to users here, in cases where we are able to assist.

I also redirect our existing clients to our support portal if they raise questions in the Community.

Even the cases where I redirected clients where removed.

I'll try to reach out to Atlassian team and see if they can assist me with unblocking.

I sometimes see a delay in my posts, nothing over a few minutes.

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the reply.

In my case, everything is gone, even the answers I sent days ago.

This comment seems to be sticking around.

Is there a date range you can guestimate that your posts vanished?  Possibly a glitch in the matrix?
