Is there a way to insert a powerpoint deck and have people make changes to the deck on the confluence page?

@Tina Storey in the past the Companion App allowed this when installed on your instance. However, this app is being removed and EOL'd at the end of next month. Please see the announcement below:

What I recommend to people who insist on using Microsoft products 😁 is....

From the webapp version of, let's say Powerpoint. Copy the URL and paste that into Confluence or Jira. This way, if anyone clicks the link, it:

  1.  launches in its native app (web version of)
  2. Makes use of any permissions and version control at the MS end
  3. Means the link is always pointing at the latest version
