Hello Confluence admins 👋 !
We’re getting ready to kick-off an exciting new beta for Loom video messaging integrated within Confluence and you’re invited!
This limited early access program will feature the ability to record Loom videos directly in Confluence and insert them into pages and whiteboards or even add them as their own objects in the content tree.
At TEAM’24 we showed off some of this new functionality and we heard from administrators that they were excited to use Loom in Confluence for some specific use cases:
🍎 Faster training and onboarding
Whether it’s using videos embedded alongside new-hire training materials or light-weight “how-to” recordings to introduce process changes, admins liked how the Loom + Confluence combo could supercharge knowledge transfer inside their companies.
💡 Clearer explanations to problems (and their solutions!)
Sometimes “can I just show you?” is what it takes to accurately communicate a complicated question or a nuanced answer. The admins we talked to said they not only deal with this every day themselves, but its also something they see teams around them grappling with and that an easy built-in video messaging capability like Loom could be a game changer.
🤝 Video updates instead of meetings
The most exciting reactions we got were from admins who loved the idea of a 5 minute video update added to a Confluence project page instead of a 30 minute meeting. Folks whose teams were distributed globally really got into the idea of reserving real-time syncs for important decision making and moving simple updates to Loom recordings added to weekly status tables in Confluence.
How to get access
The Loom in Confluence beta is right around the corner so sign-up now to get on the waitlist. The beta includes an extended free trial of the Loom business plan during the early access program so no need to already be using Loom in your organization. If you have any questions - don’t hesitate to leave me a comment below. 😁
See you in the beta!
