Introducing the new Spaces feature! (all editions)

Hi Confluence admins,

John here with another update: we've released the new Spaces feature to customers on all editions!

This is a new location where product admins are able to manage and take action on their spaces from a consistent, convenient location.

How to use it

First, navigate to the Confluence administration page but clicking on the gear icon in the right side of the top nav to reach the Confluence administration area:

Next, click on Spaces in the side nav, and you'll land in the feature:

Within the Spaces feature, you can filter your site's spaces by any of:

• Their status (active / archived / trashed)
• Title (by free-text search)
• Space key (also by free-text search)
• Or by team vs personal spaces

And you can also then take any of the following actions on your spaces (note: editing a space key and setting a space's owner also coming soon here):

• Archive a space
• Delete a space
• Copy permissions from another space
• Go to a space's settings

What other improvements to space management are coming soon?

We've just finished rolling out the ability to edit a space key, and we're actively working on the ability to set an 'owner' for each of your spaces. We're also evaluating areas like bulk actions for spaces, templates for spaces, and more so please let us know if any of those would be of value to you! 

What Confluence editions have access to this feature?

This feature is available for customers on all editions of Confluence Cloud

When can I start using this update?

The rollout of the feature has been completed, and it's available to be used now!

Noticed this just last night and it seemed really good so I decided to archive a dozen of personal spaces 😂

Copy permissions feature is great! Just another idea for the future - maybe the title column could immediately have a link on the space name that points out to space settings (or something like that). Just to save time if you have a lot of spaces and you need to quickly sort some specific settings configuration for each, to open the settings page without having to spend time on an additional click on this 'more'/actions button on the far right side.

Any chance we can have a quick fix to order by on the Last Viewed, and the number of pages? We would want to see who is / has using / used to their space, and if it hasnt been viewed in a year and only has 1 page (or 4 if the 3 sample pages have also been created), then its likely it was created by default and never used.

@John Hooper great interface. Would be nice to be able to filter by Space Type. This way we can look at Personal Spaces only, or KB Spaces only to easier manage the administration.
