How can I avoid any Compass components being created

Gerard McHale October 21, 2024

We trialled Atlassian Compass but decided we weren't interested in using it. We have Confluence and Bitbucket premium accounts. But now when I create a new repository in the Bitbucket workspace, it automatically creates a new component in Compass. How can I disable Compass, to avoid the creation of new components?

I'd have an admin disable the Bitbucket integration in Compass.

Yes, uninstall the Bitbucket app would be the quickest way if you aren't interested in Compass. Otherwise:

1. Under Apps at the top navigation bar
2. Select Manage your apps
3. Click Configure on Bitbucket
4. Disable the toggle for automatically creating components for new repositories in the connected BBC workspace.

Hi @Josh Campbell. How do I uninstall the Bitbucket App? I have tried the steps you mention but I don't see a "Manage your Apps" option under the "Apps" at the top navigation menu. I have included a screenshot below that shows three components created recently that are all in the "pending" state.

To disable Compass and prevent it from automatically creating new components when you create a repository in Bitbucket, you can disconnect Compass from your Bitbucket workspace. Here's how:

  1. Go to Compass settings in the Atlassian console.
  2. Navigate to Integrations and find the Bitbucket integration.
  3. Disconnect or disable the integration between Bitbucket and Compass.
