🪄 Create Jira issues directly from Compass

Create Jira Software issues directly from Compass when viewing scorecards. Compass gives developers insights into the health of their services like security vulnerabilities, DORA metrics, and more. Now devs can act on those insights by adding issues to their backlog without switching tools. Here’s how:

1. 💻 Navigate to your component UI in Compass

2. 👉 Select a component and click on an associated scorecard

3. ➕ Select + Create issue and complete the prompts

4. ✨ Select Create and the issue will appear in your backlog!

📈 Plus, view software health trends with scorecard history

Scorecards now show historic values, allowing you to see how long a software component has been unhealthy, identify view health trends, and see how your backlog impacts your software’s health and performance.

🤖 Waitlist for closed beta of Atlassian Intelligence in Compass is open!

We’re starting our journey to integrate Compass with Atlassian Intelligence, an AI-powered virtual teammate to help developers navigate the complexity of their software. With AI in Compass, people will be able to use natural language to query information across the entire catalog and all the connected data. This will provide software teams with valuable context beyond just the code and give developers a huge boost in finding the answers they need, when they need it.

Get immediate answers to questions like:

• Who owns the ‘magnetic-api’ service?

• When was the latest deployment for ‘identity-backend’?

• What does the library ‘dragonfruit’ do?

🪝 Reel in your software info with incoming webhooks

Compass connects activity and insights across tools, components, and teams. With incoming webhooks, you create a webhook listener in Compass that can receive outgoing webhooks from your other tools and systems, bringing events and metrics into Compass without needing to configure an app or integration. You can use incoming webhooks for Bitbucket, Bitbucket Data Center, GitHub cloud, and GitHub Enterprise Server. In early 2024, we’ll offer custom incoming webhooks that will allow you to receive webhooks from anything that can send them! Try incoming webhooks today:

1. ⚙️ Navigate to the Settings screen

2. 👉 Select Incoming webhooks

3. ✅ Click Create

👀 Looking ahead to 2024
