Happy timezones, Atlassian Community! Welcome to my personal favorite month of the year - with weather cooling off in North America and Halloween right around the corner, there’s plenty to enjoy offline, but even more exciting, there are SO MANY cool Kudos opportunities happening NOW! 🤩 We’ll kick off today’s updates with some releases, run through ALL of the exclusive badging opportunities for this month, and get a couple of sneak peeks at everything cool happening between now and the end of the year 👀
New: Recognize your peers with one click! 🤝
Practicing gratitude is now easier than ever! While you’re browsing the Community, you can hover over the username of any other member to find a brand-new button that quickly fires off a recognition Kudos to that user for their content!
This MAJOR upgrade is already available for you to use, so I’d love to start a recognition Kudos train on this thread! 🚞 Leave a comment on this article for some Recognition Kudos from yours truly, and share the love with your peers down below too!
If you’ve run out of your weekly bank of 10 recognition Kudos you can send to others, this button will not appear again until your weekly allotment resets the following Friday. I’ll keep an eye out on this thread and grant some extra banked Kudos to support our hype-train of sorts throughout this week, too! 😉

Just in time for Apptoberfest, and will live on beyond this month - a shiny new badge for answering questions in App Central!
Appy Answerer is now available to users at or above Level 5 (Vine) in the Kudos program, and can be earned up to 3x per day, along with 50 bonus points for each redemption. Go on, share your expertise with everything Apps, and reap the rewards! ✨

Are you attending Team ‘24 Europe in Barcelona October 8th-10th? I will be feeling the FOMO from my home office in Austin TX, but I am able to live vicariously through IRL attendees as we have more Kudos opportunities at this event than any Team (or Summit, iykyk) event before. 🚀

These challenges are completed entirely on-site for in-person attendees in Barcelona - there’s no follow-up on our Online Community needed*, and if this was the push you needed to register in-person, you can do so here!
*If you’ve registered for Team ‘24 Europe under a different email than the Community account you’d like your badge(s) to display on, please reach out to our team at communitymanagers@atlassian.com, and we will confirm your badging after cross-referencing our on-site completion records. You can even reach out to us for all 3 badges in a single email if you need to!
Coming Soon: Improved Quarterly Leaderboards 📊
Since we welcomed all of our community members into the Kudos program earlier this year, we’ve heard new members loud and clear - it can be scary to compete in your quarterly leaderboard against folks who have been earning Kudos from day one! 😰 Have no fear - the Communi-team is on it, and we’ve been developing improvements to make our quarterly competitions more personalized. less daunting for new Atlassian Community members. 🫶🏻
Be on the lookout for a full breakdown soon - we’ll have MUCH more to share as these improvements make their way to your feeds!
