We wanted a nice fluffy cake that had a blue component, sort of like the Atlassian Cooperate Identity colors and what would be better than blueberries?
The beginning went quite well, but already after we have put the mixed dough in the oven, we have noticed that the dough does not rise as we had hoped. After 45 minutes, we took the dough out of the oven and noticed that the bottom has become very crispy, which must not necessarily be a bad thing, because it does provide some bite. To straighten the bottom afterwards we put a plate on the finished dough.
Also when beating the cream we have made a mistake, because we had not chilled the cream after the purchase, it was lumpy at the first attempt instead of fluffy.
From then on, however, it went very well, even the covering with the buttercream went great.
Taste-wise, the cake turned out very well, according to our families, who had eaten up the entire cake within no time.
All around we had a great time and thought Atlassian's Initiate was a great thing.
