I have bit bucket server install on windows server (version 7.1.9)
Due to the security announcements I want to upgrade my bit bucket version .
As I understand I should change the server operating system to other operation system (not windows).
I create new UBUNTO server
I installed the bit bucket version (8.6.1)
I restored my backup from tar file
I started the bit bucket server .
At this step the setup is asking for license .
How can I use my current license ?

The fact that setup is asking you for your license indicates you didn't migrate over your database. Please see https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/migrate-bitbucket-server-from-windows-to-linux-1128304336.html for instructions on how to migrate from Windows to Linux.

also the log files location application-data/bitbucket/log/
my problem was the ownership of the directories that contains the data of the database it should belong to atlbucket user

after upgrade to linux and chang the database to sql server
I see all repos .
I can perform push
but I cant perform login for example to add new users
i get an error 500
the log row:

About the license, before perform the migration/upgrade, please verify that your license is active. You can't perform the upgrade without an active license.
