starting bitbucket hangs on "migrating home directory"

On the logs this is what i get

c.a.j.s.w.c.s.JohnsonHttpRequestHandlerServlet HttpRequestHandlerServlet [scmServlet] cannot be initialised to service an incoming request; redirecting to /unavailable

Hi Sandla,

The log entry you're quoting is expected and is created because Bitbucket Server hasn't finished starting yet. To find out where it's at, look at other log entries that pertain to the upgrade.

Hey @Christian Glockner 

 

Why does it takes a really long time to start bitbucket if we see this in the log? What does it actually doing at the backend? Is it trying to clear out all the 'obsolete request' that it received when it was stopped abruptly? If yes - why it takes such a long time to complete? (we're on a 64gb mem, 8 cores exclusive system)
