This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Using branch permissions
Is there a way to set "default branch permissions" for new repositories/projects? I want to have similar rules in each repo, I dont want to have to continuously set them every time I make a new repo
Hi Steven,
It's not possible to set a default configuration for new repositories, thus currently they have to be configured individually. I found a few feature requests about setting default settings for new repositories in a project, which you may find interesting. Please feel free to vote and add any comments to it, as well as adding yourself as a watcher so you can track its progress directly. You may refer to Atlassian's policy for the implementation of new features:
Please allow me to present you, alternatively, to the add-on Repository Templates for Bitbucket, developed by another vendor, which allows you to set some default settings for new repositories.

Steven,
We have developed a paid solution that does exactly what you're asking for and it's available on the Atlassian Marketplace - ScriptRunner for Bitbucket Server.
The specific functionality you are looking is covered in our documentation in two places:
I hope you find it useful enough to buy it. If not, perhaps you could let us know of any gaps in functionality.
Thanks.

Thank you for this. Unfortunately my bitbucket's server is run by my company and unfortunately they aren't interested in spending money on a solution for this.
thanks though!
