approval button not appearing on pull requests

Hi

Since bitbucket has switched to the new pull request experience I don't see the approval or rework required buttons on the majority of the PRs. I do see them occasionally, but can't tell what's different.

To get around it, I had to switch back to the old PR experience.

I've tried using Chrome and Edge, and have disabled the bitbucket PR helper plugin.

Any ideas?

Update: 

I've found a similar ticket Self-approve Pull Request no longer possible (atlassian.com) which also points to a blog Introducing a New Pull Request Status in Bitbucket Cloud: Changes Requested - Bitbucket

It is very confusing, but I think this is what is causing the issue, so I'll scrap this ticket.
