Why does Bitbucket server not trigger a webhook on a PR merge?

Hi there,

we have a repository on a Bitbucket server (Stash) that we do not host ourselves. We have a webhook configured for Push, PR approve and PR merge. It works fine for push. For PR merge and approve, nothing happens - the webhook is not sent. The Bitbucket webhook log tells me the latest success and failure for push, but for PR merge and approve, it says "never failed" and "never succeeded". How can that be? Did I misunderstand the meaning of webhooks in context of PR merge / approve? I know the feature from Bitbucket cloud and it works there. I also know how it looks if the webhook is processed in a wrong way on our side so I can rule out that the problem is on the receiving end.

We use Bitbucket server 5.9. Was there a bug that was fixed meanwhile? We could then ask for an upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Christian

Hi Christian,

I'm also having the same issue but with Bitbucket Cloud. Did you ever solve it?
