In the settings for a repository, there is an option to set a programming language. What exactly does this setting do?

Hi, welcome to the Community :) The repository language will determine the syntax highlighting that Bitbucket will use in your repo.

Cheers!

Hi Ana,

I have the same question, but the answer doesn't quite jive with what I see.

My repo is set to Kotlin, my code is definitely Kotlin, yet there is no syntax highlighting when I view the code.

Is there another setting?
