The email address I am using receives mail and invitations from other applications. Is there a bitbucket settings workaround on this?

Your email address was on an internal suppression list on our side, as our mail service received a 550 5.4.1 error when we tried to send email previously. I've cleared this error out on our end and additional emails should go through now. You'll need to have the repo owner send the invitation again.
In order to prevent this problem from happening again though, you can have an Exchange Admin at your company follow the steps on this article to keep Atlassian Cloud emails from getting bounced by Office365's filter. The error we had on our side was consistent with the problem listed in that article.
