Hi there, I'd like to request for a garbage collection to be ran on a repo that is warning me of a size of 3.24GB. I've deleted and recreated some of the older branches in an attempt to reduce the size but it's only continuing to go up. Can I have a garbage collection ran on that repo?
Hello @Malek Elzaatari and thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I found a repository in one of the workspaces your account has access to that matched the size you have described.
After running a GC on that repo, the size was reduced back to 375MB!
Now that GC is completed, I would highly recommend you have everyone on your team remove their old copies of the repository and do a fresh clone of it. Since the old clones have a dirty history, it's better to delete them, so you don't risk pushing the dangling objects back into your cleaned repository, which would increase its size again.
As a side note, I see that your company's workspace has an active subscription that is entitled to direct support from Bitbucket Cloud team. In the future, if you want help from our support team you can create a support ticket with Atlassian using the portal below, selecting Bitbucket Cloud as the product, and providing the workspace ID :
Thank you, @Malek Elzaatari !
