Pipe does not support the parameter "enableFaultInjection" of task definition

Juan Sebastian Bravo Santacruz December 23, 2024

Version of boto3 used in the last version of pipe does not support the parameter "enableFaultInjection" of task definition added in the version 1.35.83 of boto3 (https://github.com/boto/boto3/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.rst).

Hello @Juan Sebastian Bravo Santacruz ,

and welcome to the Community!

Could you please clarify what specific pipe you are referring to?  This is so I can confirm the version it currently uses and raise a feature request with our engineering team to get it updated.

Thank you, @Juan Sebastian Bravo Santacruz !

Hi Patrick, thanks for replying. We are using the AWS ECS deploy pipe in the version 1.12.2

Hi Juan Sebastian,

I've brought this to the attention of the pipe's developers and updating the pipe's dependencies is already a task in their backlog.

The issue will be fixed when the pipe gets updated.

Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi Juan Sebastian,

A new version of the pipe has been released, atlassian/aws-ecs-deploy:1.13.0, with a newer version of the boto3 package, which should resolve the issue:

https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/aws-ecs-deploy/src/master/

Please feel free to let us know how it goes when you have a chance to try it.

Kind regards,
Theodora
