Migrating repos from Git to Bitbucket with PR requests

putha May 18, 2021

Hi,

I used the import option and migrated git repos to Bitbucket. All the branches, commits, tags are migrated successfully. The PR requests that are closed/merged/declined are missing. Is there any way we can migrate PR requests as well?

We are using Bitbucket Data center and server 7.13 version.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Thanks,

Naga

Hello Putha,

Glad to hear y'all are migrating to Bitbucket Datacenter.

It seems like there might have been an error during the export which had an issue collecting all of your PRs. I would suggest reviewing your migration process and if the following error was thrown during the export:

Exception executing callback '<METHOD>' on '<EXPORTER>':
'<MESSAGE>'
  • PullRequestExporter: Data related to pull requests, such as title, description, reviewers, and other activity, may not have been exported correctly.

Source: Error and warning messages

If this is the case and this error is present then it's suggested to delete the export and attempt another export and then import (assuming no errors are present on the new export).

If there are no errors during your export then please let us know.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
