I'm trying to clone a repository on my mac from my bitbucket acc.

remote: Invalid username or password

fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://bitbucket.org/project------------/----------.git/

I've already updated my username and email through git commands.Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I suspect Git is using a faulty username/password combination to authenticate itself with Bitbucket Cloud.

To resolve this issue, can I ask you to remove all the stored Git credentials in your system? You can do that by following the steps in this documentation: Authentication error remote invalid username or password - Atlassian Documentation

Once you removed the credentials, can I ask you to try to authenticate with your username and an app password?
