How to run something once only and keep that docker image

Rodney Joyce

I am analysing Buddy.works and Bitbucket Pipelines for our CI process.

One of the great things about Buddy is that between builds it remembers commands you ran, so for example, doing an Angular CLI install is only neccessary the first time. This speeds up the build. When you change the docker image then it reruns.

Is there something like this in BB?

Hey Rodney, There's an open feature request you can follow here: https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/12818/caching-dependencies-in-pipelines

currently no state is persisted between pipelines.
