Hi team,

I had accidentally changed my bitucket username due to which I am not able to access repositories and Jenkins associated with that username. Please help to restore my previous bitbucket username.

Hi, @Himanshu Verma ! Welcome to the community!

In order to change your username in Bitbucket, you can follow the next steps:

  1. Click on your avatar and select Personal settings.

  2. From the Account settings page, click change next to the Username.

  3. Enter your new Bitbucket username.

  4. Click Change.

In case you receive a message informing you that you can’t use this username because "An account with that name already exists", you will need to use another username.

However, changing your username shouldn’t impact your access to your repositories in Bitbucket. Could you confirm the steps you have followed to make this change, so I can further investigate what happened?

Please, feel free to share any additional questions regarding this subject.

Kind regards,
Caroline
