How to import a mercurial repo without a URL

Deleted user September 4, 2019

I've been using TortoiseHG locally on my laptop and I now want to set up a repo online with BitBucket.  When importing the repo, I'm asked for a URL.  Without a URL, I can't proceed, but my repo is only on my local machine, so how do I import a repo that's not already hosted somewhere else?

Hi @[deleted],

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

You can import a local repository to Bitbucket by following the instructions here. Basically you just create the repository in Bitbucket, cd into your local repository, connect it to Bitbucket and then push it back to Bitbucket.
