Shubha Nagaraj Nov 17, 2015

I want to add some rules that makes issue # mandatory as part of Bitbucket commit comments.

See this article about implementing commit validation on Bitbucket Cloud repositories: http://www.midori-global.com/products/jira-commit-policy-plugin/documentation/git-with-bitbucket-cloud

There is a condition that requires developers to enter issue keys (that match a JQL - this is really powerful!) in the commit message.
