How can add my bitbucket licenses to a specific repository in bitbucket

Jaspreet Kaur October 13, 2021

I have some bitbucket licenses which i need to align with one of the existing repository currently running under free subscription. Please help me understand how it can be done from bitbucket or my atlassian.

Hi @Jaspreet Kaur and welcome to the community!

In Bitbucket Cloud, licenses are associated with a certain workspace. You can see all workspaces your account has access to if you log in to https://bitbucket.org/, then select your avatar > select All workspaces.

If you have for example
- workspace-A on free plan
- workspace-B on stnadard plan

and the repository you are referring is owned by workpsace-A, you can transfer it to workspace-B to make use of the standard plan and add more users to it.

You can find more info on repository transfer here:

Please note that if you transfer a repository, its URL will change. If you and/or your teammates have a clone of the repo you are working on, you'll need to update the remote URL in your clone. Steps for that are included in the section Update local configuration files with the new repository URL of the documentation I linked.

Please feel free to let me know if this helps and if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
