How can I whitelist (grant access) to a Bitbucket repository to an IP address.

Bevan Sharp November 14, 2019

I need to grant access to a Bitbucket repository to an IP address for an external team to access the repository (to push, pull etc) but there doesn't appear to be an option in the settings for the repository to do this. It mentions Group access but I don't think this is right.

I did see Access Controls for the account but this is locked down to Premium users (which we're not) and I don't want to grant IP access at that level, just the repository.

I did do a Google search but nothing came up to answer my question.

Hello @Bevan Sharp,

Unfortunately, there's no such functionality in Bitbucket. As you mentioned, IP whitelisting is possible at the account level, and it is a premium feature. At the repository level the access can be limited only in terms of permissions for users/groups of users.

Cheers,
Daniil

Hi @Daniil Penkin,

Does IP whitelisting feature come with Server self-hosted version? I'm planning to buy the license to build our own Server.

Thanks with Kind Regards,
