Email alias removed

I accidentally created a new account using one of my google email addresses. I had this email address set as an alias in my main account, but it was removed. I deleted the new account, but I still can't add the email alias back. I keep getting '**** is already in use by another user.' Will it clear up over time?

Hi @ericbaldoni,

When you choose to delete your Atlassian account, the account gets deactivated for 14 days and it gets deleted afterwards.

We give a 14-day grace period, during which the account will appear as temporarily deactivated. During this grace period, the user can log back in to the account and cancel the deletion:

I believe this is the reason why you cannot add the email as an alias yet. The account should get deleted 14 days after you initiated the deletion and you will then be able to add the email as an alias again.

It will not clear up over time. And I'm afraid I am having the same problem. Wish I could offer a solution.
