Still cannot find why search doe sot work.

What version of Elasticsearch are you on?
2.x was still supported on 5.x but not 6.x

Actually, that error saying connection refused may mean that your elasticsearch service didn’t start correctly. Are you using the bundled elasticsearch or running your own?
