Copy the git subtree with the same structure

I have a main repository name as test and i have a sub repository which has two folders modules, includes. I want to checkout the subtree this way that the directory paths should be like this test test->modules test->inlcude but when I am including the subtree it is adding another folder test->subtree->modules test->subtree->include. Can someone help me how can I stop the subtree folder for getting created. Thanks in advance
