Whenever I try to login to my account, I get an error saying I need to make sure I have cookies enabled. I check to make sure, and then try again. instead it puts me back at the homepage for bit bucket and clicking login presents me with the same error. the only workaround I have is deleting all my cookies and logging in again. But then it saves my login and freaks out over cookies.
Hi Joseph,
I assume that your request is regarding login to Bitbucket Cloud (https://bitbucket.org/) ?
Could you please let me know what browser you are using when you try to log in and which version of this browser? The first thing to check here is whether you are using the latest version of one of the supported browsers:

Do you have any extensions on this browser? There is a possibility that this occurs because an add-on interferes.
If there are extensions installed, can you try disabling them all, for testing purposes, and see if you are able to log in without issues afterwards?
Kind regards,
Theodora
