I would like to add checkboxes in BitBucket's Pull-Request default description to have some thing like this. I would like to know if adding checkboxes in supported in current description box or to ask if its possible to add MarkDown Support for this.
Hi Saisurya,
Unfortunately, the checkboxes will not be rendered, they'll be shown as brackets. There's an existing Feature request in our issue tracker, you can find it at https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/8586/support-task-lists-in-markdown-bb-9699.
You can vote on it to increase its popularity.
For future reference, you can also find a list of all the supported markdown here.
Hope that helps!
Ana
Thanks for the reply; but please do consider this feature, ticket was created 6 years ago.
Being a commercial company, implementing such a simple feature should not take a long time

I'd like to ask kindly, if this feature will be implemented within this century, as we are thinking about a broader use of bitbucket in our company and this feature request is one of the step stones.

This should be a feature in bitbucket. GitHub already allows it. It makes PRs more meaningful for reviewers.

Looks like the workaround and shortcut is to switch to Github where development doesn't take 10 years

Bitbucket needs a good kick in assss and move forward. Now it is like some legacy stuff which is hard to remove or migrate to a better place. And that "better" is probably anything not a bitbucket. For example it has to many downtimes, pipelines are to slow, main bitbucket is hosted in US only? If I refresh the page or commit it takes to much time from my live.

This was my thought also but if you want to go into detail there isnt a great deal of room. I'm trying this
though there is bit of a disconnect.
