Hi,
We already using Bitbucket Server, recently we got the subscription for the Bitbucket Cloud.
So, we are planning to migrate Bitbucket Server to cloud. We are afraid that we may loose some data while migrating mentioned in the Atlassian documentation. Because we are thinking that to test migrating data to Bitbucket sandbox first and will later start migrating to production Bitbucket cloud if the migration of sandbox is fine.
So, here our concern is, is this possible? We are expecting some help from you.
Regards,
Vishnu.
Hi Vishnu,
In Bitbucket Cloud repositories belong to a certain workspace.
We don't have such a thing as a sandbox, but you can create a workspace for testing purposes, and migrate your repositories to this test workspace first.
After you inspect the data and if everything looks ok, you can perform your migration to the workspace that you are going to use as a production one. You can delete the test workspace when you no longer need it.
In case you are not aware of it already, you can use the following plugin to do the migration:
Kind regards,
Theodora
