Can I turn on th git protocol read only on stash managed repos

I have a request to make the git protocol available, and I know stash itself does not support this. Can I just start up a git protocol daemon on the box and allow read only, or is that bad juju for some reason?

Hi Sean,

I can't think of a reason why that wouldn't work, though it may cause performance issues if it's hit hard. However, the free Git anonymous protocol add-on would probably be a more convenient way to provide git protocol support.

cheers,

Tim
