Hi,

I'm looking at setting up a Bitbucket trial and note that it doesn't require a separate DB.

Is there a guide for moving to Live and if we do, do you have to start from scratch or is there some way of migrating the existing setup to a MYSQL install?

Alternatively can you just activate it with a key without setting up a dedicated DB (and if so, are there any limitations?).

We're only likely to have a maximum of 5 or 6 concurrent users.

Hi Tom! To run Bitbucket in production you'll need an external database.

Note that MySQL is supported for Bitbucket Server instances, but not recommended. See Connecting Bitbucket Server to MySQL for more information.

To proceed with the installation I recommend you follow the steps in the section 'Install Bitbucket Server using an installer' on the page Bitbucket Server installation guide.

Hope that helps!

Ana
