I'm trying to torubleshoot an issue in bitbucket where it's having a timeout when opening a jira issue linked to a commit, and also issues with the triggers for the workflow transition. I checked the page https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/linking-bitbucket-server-with-jira-776640408.html and it's saying about two system plugins that needs to be enabled when linking bitbucket and jira. However, I'm not seeing the below plugin in bitbucket:

Bitbucket Server Dev Summary Plugin (bitbucket-jira-development-integration-plugin).

I can't see it either in marketplace. Any idea where this could be downloaded?

Thanks.

Hello Boycy and welcome to the Community!

The plugin you’re referencing is a system plugin within Bitbucket, this would explain why you don’t see the plugin when checking the marketplace. In order to see system plugins in Bitbucket, please follow these steps:

  1. Select the cog icon in the top menu
  2. Select Manage Apps
  3. Within the add-on manager, select System from the filter
  4. Confirm if bitbucket-jira-development-integration-plugin is enabled or not.

If the add-on is enabled, as it should be by default, then the issue may be somewhere else within your application links. In order to find what the cause might be, please review the Troubleshooting and support tools for both Jira and Bitbucket. Please report any findings from the log analyzer which may reveal the issue. You may find more about this tool at Support Tools Plugin.

We look forward to your response so we may assist with resolving this issue.

Stephen Sifers

Yes, I filtered it but can't find the Bitbucket Server Dev Summary Plugin. However, there  is a Bitbucket Server - Jira Development Integration in the System which I think is its current name. Thanks for your reply.

Hello again Boycy,

When you have a chance, can you please review the log analyzer for both Bitbucket and Jira and report any findings within there. This should allow us to see if something is reporting a problem within the application link between the two. You may find more about this tool at Support Tools Plugin.

We look forward to your response so we may find you a resolution to your issue.

Regards,

@Boycy

came across your post while searching for the same issue.  Then I realized, the confluce article has a reference to the system plugin:

  • Bitbucket Dev Summary Plugin (bitbucket-jira-development-integration-plugin).

The app key for system plugin 'Bitbucket Server - Jira Development Integration' which you referenced, is : com.atlassian.bitbucket.server.bitbucket-jira-development-integration"

Makes me think it's one and the same and Atlassian just never updated their documentation when they updated the plugin name.
